AFT was required 20 years before...V Adm Barin Ghose..???

It has taken an AFT to accept something which the Service Hqs have been striving for since 5th CPC, namely Battle Casualty Awards should not differentiate between :PRC and SSC. Some how the Service HQs could not make the MOD see the raison de etre. Perhaps the Babus did not want to see the difference and kept on parrot wise repeating that SSC did not complete 15 years service and were hence not eligible for any pensionary award.
If only the AFT came about when proposed two decades ago, many of the ills facing the Armed Forces would have been sorted out. The Civil Services with the CAT has been comparitively hassle free.
.I would reccommend that serious thought be given to pushing OROP through AFT with a legal person instead of trying it with MOD
