An email and its attachments, received from Col RP Chaturvedi, Member IESM Steering Committee and Coordinator Kargil Divas Celebrations, are reproduced below.

Col RP Chaturvedi, and other members of IESM Steering Committee have been working very hard for more than two months to organise Kargil Divas Celebrations.

On behalf of YOU ALL, 'i' congratulate IESM Steering Committee, in particular Col RP Chaturvedi, for a very successful launch of the Kargil Divas Celebrations.
The main Kargil Divas celebrations are on Sunday, 26 Jul 09.

Please do organise a function in your respective cities/localities to pay homage to all those Defence Personnel, Para Military Forces and Civilians who helped us in winning the Kargil War. Many sacrificed their lives, many were seriously wounded and many lost their near ones and dear ones.

ON 26 JUL 09, AT 8.00 PM, DO LIGHT A CANDLE AT YOUR DOOR
AND PLACE A MARIGOLD FLOWER (GENDA) BESIDE IT.

BEFORE LIGHTING THE CANDLE ALSO SAY A PRAYER FOR ALL THE HEROES OF KARGIL WAR WHO SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES AND SUFFERED INJURIES FOR THE SAKE OF INDIAN NATION.

PLEASE DO MOTIVATE YOUR NEIGHBOURS, PREFERABLY THE ENTIRE LOCALITY TO DO THE SAME.

We have LIFT OFF !!

KARGIL DIVAS ACTIVITIES COMMENCED TODAY.

Cdr Sharan Ahuja accompanied me to Accenture and assisted initial settling down.

Col BK Kailash, a social worker and a Rotarian himself, relieved us and held fort for the latter part.
Thanks Kailash.

The Blood Donation camp at Accenture went very well.
We collected 57 units of blood from eager donors.

Pamphlets were distributed and perused by the visitors to the camp.
Attached are 4 photos.

Thanks to Kailash must feature in it.
