'Let's heave together is a good call, but the moment there are spoils to be shared each one will go his way.
See the Army has opened a Medical College in Delhi on Government land,is using the service of the Base Hospital (an interservice asset) but is restricting admissions to children of Army Personnel only. Even in welfare the 3 Services can't pull together.
The Services need a better leadership with an inclusive philosophy. Only then will it percolate down to all ranks and be carried on as ex-servicemen. ( I hasten to add that Senior ex-servicemen, steeped in the British culture were far more broad minded and inclusive in their approach. The same can't be said for the post-british influence Officers).
