Dear Pravesh (Maj Gen PK Renjen),
I have just seen the formulation that you and Barin had worked out.I find the 'synopsis' patently rational,,just and eminently balanced.My sincere congratulations to you both.It would be a pity if it does not attract attention of the Decisionmakers, for whatever reasons.You have followed a 'principled' and visionary approach and not followed a 'grabbers' mindset. The latter does not quite gel with the 'military ethos'!!!
I have scanned through some of the other proposals. They all mean well for the veterans and I wish them well; but their cogency and rationale did not quite stand out like yours.It felt more like 'grab as much as can' , like the 'wallstreet wizards' of late.And look where they have landed the world? Maybe I missed out on something in those proposals - am getting rusty.But am still sharp on one point-the day we get too clever and compromise on 'dharmic' values of soldiering, such as crabby pursuit of money/material; IA would have lost more than all the gains.Justice indeed, but as so well put by your wise General"no more no less".

A parting thought-OROP was just one battle- the Veterans deserve good ldrship as IESM has provided thus far, for many future fights- do gain the high ground for those, starting with lakhs of members.

Thanks for the clarification and the commitment that all ESM orgs will be carried along. You i am sure are aware that one org alone cannot carry out this task alone. Otherwise the bureaucrats will take advantage of our divisiveness. I am glad you have assured everyone about it. It would be helpful if you could put up the table on the net for the info of all ESM.
